2018-19 Coaching Requirement Checklist

 

The items listed below are MANDATORY and need to be completed before the season begins. Please upload each certification into your SportsEngine registration – do NOT send them to me. You will also need to give copies to your Team Manager.

 

¨USA Hockey Registration– Open Now  

¨SportsEngine Registration– Open Now

~ You may upload certificates and receipts at a later time.

¨CAHA Background Check– Open Now

¨Concussion Training– Open Now

¨SafeSport Training– Open Now 

EVERYONE MUST:

1.  Complete the full course this season – there are no refresher courses available.

2.  Upon registration there are 3 certificates online that need to be completed. Upon completion, the SafeSport Trained Certificatewill be available and it needs to be uploaded prior to classroom training on September 20th.

¨Coaching Clinics– September 1st – December 31st

~Any coaches with expired CEP’s will be removed from the ice and rosters January 1st(exception is 8U).

¨Age-Specific Modules– Open Now

 

All coaches must complete their Level 1 coaching certification. USA Hockey requires that coaches advance their certificate each season until reaching a level 3. If you have a level 3 you are required to conduct a semi-annual refresher course online or get your level 4. Coaches must also complete the appropriate age module at USA Hockey. This must be completed before you can be placed on the team roster. HHHA will reimburse you in November (or January if CEP is not completed by November) for your USA Hockey registration, the clinics, and modules – receipts for clinics and modules MUSTbe uploaded in your SportsEngine registration to receive reimbursement – NO Exceptions.
